Case Study – Fife Golf Trust

Fife Golf Trust formally took over Fife Council’s seven directly managed golf courses in April 2011, they also coordinate the council’s wider golfing interests. Flintriver won a competitive tender to develop a brand for the Trust and to design and build their new website, which went live in April 2012. Since the launch the website has proven to be very popular amongst golf enthusiasts with some outstanding statistics for the first month alone:

  • 869 visitors with 651 unique visits and almost 5000 page views.
  • on average people are viewing 5.73 pages per visit.
  • the bounce rate (the percentage of people who click off the site at the first page) is 16% which is very low, generally a bounce rate of 40% is seen as a very good figure.
